This past weekend, Jamie Goldman hosted the UpsideDown and UnderGround jump jam/ media event at his compound here in Bend, Oregon.  There was a stacked list of pros, and a bunch of photographers and videograohers, with itchy shutter fingers.

Having not met very many pro riders, I wasn't sure what to expect when I arrived. What alot of us seem to forget is; these pros are just like us. They just want to kick it, and have a blast on 2 wheels.

The jam was supposed to go down on saturday; but due to our normal high winds here in Central Oregon, it was postponed until Sunday morning. We arrived at Goldman's at 11ish, as the pros were warming up and dialing in the line and lips. The jam started at noon, and the throwdown was ON!!!!!!    I'm not very good at photography, but here is what I was able to snag throughout the afternoon. Enjoy

This past weekend was Sea Otter down in Monterrey, CA.  There is always a monster jump jam at the Post Office jumps in Aptos following the Sea Otter weekend.   This year was no exception.   A monster jump jam with some of the most talented riders in the world.  There was a sick article on pinkbike about the jam with lots of sick pics from the event.  Local rider Carson Storch got a sick shot posted along with some other amazing shots from aptos local Justin Brantley (j-brantley.pinkbike.com)

Check out the post here on PINKBIKE

Just saw this. Since it mentions CO & Bend I thought I'd throw it up on here. Some cool pics in the article as well.

CENTRAL OREGON MOUNTAIN BIKERS PLEASE READ:

I am working on my entry for the Bend Bicycle Film Festival and I am looking for riders interested to be in the video. I need people of all ages who can kill it in the freeride/downhill/dirt jump MTB scene in Bend Oregon. The video is going to be a documentary style film about the progression of the freeride scene in Central Oregon. I am going to use some of my shots from Leftovers for this flick too but I still need a few more shots. I am also looking for people interested in doing an interview for the video. The best interviewees are riders, shop owners, or mountain bike community reps but I am open to interview anyone. If you are interested, leave a comment with your contact info below this post or shoot me an email at gunnar@triggervisionmedia.com. Thanks everyone!

Trigger Vision Media's webisode project "Leftovers" was featured on PinkBike today.  For those of you who didn't see it.  You can check it out HERE.

Nice to see this project get some exposure.  Gunnar has done some really sick work behind the camera lately and even though he says this is all the leftover footage from his sessions, he still turned out some sick edits.  Can't wait to see what is in store for us during the new season but you can bet there will be some bangers on the way!!!

You can learn more about the "Leftovers" project here on Trigger Vision Media.

Bend Cyclery is looking for more team members for the BCDC team. We're having a dirt jump jib jam out at the dirt jumps at the Slalom course. The riders will be chosen based on style, attitude, effort, and skill. Members of the team will get team shirts, free shop labor, and other benefits. To be a part of the team you... don't have to be the best you just have to be trying your hardest. So come out and give it your best shot!

Right when I'm getting ready to transition to bikes, biggest storm of the year comes through. Oh well, I know at some point i'll be missing the powder. Anyway, as the dump continues up here I've been surfing around finding all kinds of interesting bike sites to look at. Not sure if anyone has heard of The Coastal Crew. My guess is some have since some of their webisodes have been PinkBike VOD's. I like the look into their lifestyle they've got going. And it looks like they're doing a lot of their filming with DSLR's, which since I just got my Canon 7D really is making me want to start doing some shooting. Ah, must ride, but there is going to be sooo much bloody powder this week....

On 03.09.2010 I headed out to Jamie Goldman’s house with Carson Storch. We had a fun session and I had a good time with my new HPX-170. Unfortunately my tripod broke into 5 pieces by the end of the day so I had to film a lot of hand-held shots. I’m not planning on releasing this footage for any particular reason because its just bad filming on my part but I will head out there again soon to make an edit. Until then enjoy this screen shot.
